Good Grades and Good Times Begin with Baby Teeth
Research has shown that a healthy mouth increases school performance, social relationships, and success later in life. Taking care of your child’s teeth should begin as soon as he/she is born. This instills the value of oral health for a lifetime.
Tips to remember:
- Never put a baby to bed with a bottle.
- Only allow water in “sippy” cups unless it is with a meal.
- Brush for your child at least once a day until he/she reaches the age of eight.
- Limit sweets and stay away from “sodas”.
As your child matures, he/she may need braces to correct crowding and misalignment of teeth. The best investment you can make to ensure a good result from braces is a Waterpik dental water jet. With proper use, you and your child will get the results you want – a smile to last a lifetime.
