Healthy Teeth, Happy Smiles

Water Pik & America's ToothFairy Promote Children's Dental Health

March 2, 2015

Fern Ingber, President & CEO of America's ToothFairy/Canada’s ToothFairy: National Children's Oral Health Foundation

Did You Know?

  • More than 25 million children in the U.S. suffer from tooth decay, some in pain so severe they have difficulty eating, sleeping, speaking, and concentrating in school
  • More than 40% of all children have dental cavities by the time they reach kindergarten
  • More than 27% of children have an acute oral health need

Pediatric Dental Disease is Nearly 100% Preventable

But greater awareness is needed to break the cycle of this disease and rescue children from needless pain and suffering. Dental disease can have serious consequences for children’s health including malnourishment, life-threatening infections, anemia, emergency surgery, and even death.

America's ToothFairy

America's ToothFairy: The National Children’s Oral Health Foundation is an organization dedicated to eliminating children’s preventable suffering from pediatric dental disease by providing programs and resources to deliver community-based preventative, educational, and treatment services. Through a partnership with Water Pik, Inc., a leading developer and manufacturer of innovative personal health care products, we can strengthen our efforts by creating an incentive to support children’s oral health.

Support for NCOHF

In an effort to support America’s ToothFairy: National Children’s Oral Health Foundation, Water Pik provided a $5 rebate coupon on the Water Flosser For Kids during March 2015.

Additionally, Water Pik donated $5.00 on every redeemed rebate to America’s ToothFairy: National Children’s Oral Health Foundation. The generous donations through Water Pik’s Children’s Dental Health Promotion benefited our many programs such as Kids Club, NCOHF Oral Health Zone Program, and Smile Drive. More information on these programs is located at AmericasToothFairy.org

America’s ToothFairy: National Children’s Oral Health Foundation is uniting with companies like Water Pik to end children’s dental health disease. Every child deserves a healthy smile and there is no better way than using a Waterpik® Water Flosser.
