You can replace your shower head in minutes when you follow these 4 simple steps. This is one DIY project you really can do yourself!
Some tools you may need to get started are adjustable pliers and a cloth rag.
Step 1. Remove the old shower head. To prevent scratching any fixtures, place the cloth rag over the pliers and unscrew the old shower head in a counter-clockwise direction.
Step 2. Locate the threaded connection on the back of the new shower head and make sure the rubber washer is in place.
Step 3. Thread the new shower head onto the j-pipe, turning in a clockwise direction.
Step 4. Place the cloth rag over the pliers to protect the metal fixtures and tighten the connection (be careful not to over tighten).
Shower heads come in all shapes and sizes, including hand held shower heads, fixed mount shower heads, and rain shower heads.
